The International Eye Research Center (MCBO) is a subdivision of the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The strategic international partner of MCBO is the Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London, in the United Kingdom. The Center's international scientific partner is the University of California, Irvine, in the United States. The primary scientific priority of MCBO is to conduct in-depth research on the dynamics and plasticity of the human eye in order to develop new therapies and diagnostic tools. MCBO's state-of-the-art research is conducted at various levels of resolution: from individual molecules to the entire architecture and function of the eye.
